The 98th Academy Awards nominations were announced this evening by Lewis Pullman and Danielle Brooks, celebrating exceptional cinema. “Sinners” and “One Battle After Another” received the most celebratory recognition.

The celebration of both films came through comprehensive nomination lists. Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” earned celebratory recognition in directing, cinematography, production design, costume design, sound design, and acting categories. The breadth of acknowledgment validates the film’s ambitious scope.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” received equally celebratory treatment with nominations spanning directing, adapted screenplay, and multiple acting categories. Leonardo DiCaprio’s leading performance and supporting work from Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Teyana Taylor earned acknowledgment.

Other films being celebrated include “Marty Supreme,” “Hamnet,” and “Sentimental Value,” each earning multiple nominations. The Best Picture category features ten films worthy of celebration. Unfortunately, “Homebound” received no celebration, earning zero nominations.

Oscar night arrives on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where cinema’s elite will gather for celebration. The ceremony will air at 7 p.m. ET on ABC, broadcasting the event worldwide.
