The much-anticipated Google feature that builds presentations for you is finally here. The company is rolling out a new Gemini Canvas function that automatically turns any document or report into a fully designed Google Slides presentation.
This tool is designed to save you hours of manual formatting. The AI reads and understands your file—be it a long report or a simple outline—and creates a structured, themed slide deck with titles, section breaks, and even relevant visuals.
This new capability is integrated into Gemini’s Canvas mode, the AI workspace for writing and brainstorming. Now, that same tool can take your refined ideas and transform them into a visual format, ready for any pitch or lecture.
This update marks another big step in making AI a true productivity partner, not just a writing assistant. It automates the heavy lifting of slide design, allowing users to focus on their content.
The global rollout is already underway for both personal Google accounts and Workspace users. While Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers are reportedly getting the first access, a wider release for all users is expected to follow shortly.
