Zimbabwe’s chase was marked by a brief glimmer of hope when Craig Ervine and Sikandar Raza combined for a 98-run partnership following the loss of four early wickets. Ervine contributed 59 runs before being dismissed by Nathan Ellis, who returned for a second spell to make a significant impact. Raza added 57 runs but was bowled out by Spencer Johnson, and with their departure, Zimbabwe’s momentum dwindled.
Nathan Ellis was instrumental in dismantling Zimbabwe’s batting order, finishing with impressive figures of 5-31 from 9.1 overs. His performance was crucial in ensuring that Zimbabwe was bowled out for 235 in just over 45 overs, securing Australia’s victory.
